Myra here.
It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.
Our book quote theme from here on onwards will be about BOOKS and READING.
I reread Oscar Wilde’s The Picture Of Dorian Gray (Amazon | Book Depository) with my daughter who was in her late teens and she pointed out to me the misogynistic undertones of the narrative (which totally escaped me when I was in my early 20s, so what does that say about generational reading, really?). I do recall enjoying The Importance Of Being Earnest (Amazon | Book Depository) as well when I read it decades ago – I wonder how I would find it now.
