As part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience 2023, I am leading a group of students from the College of Education, UAE University, in curating a set of diverse picturebooks that portray the 17 SDGs.
This summer 2023, we are visiting a number of libraries in the UAE (Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Dubai, House of Wisdom in Sharjah, Zayed Public Library in Al Ain, Khalifa Library in Abu Dhabi) to speak to librarians about their recommended titles (if any), as well as find titles that move us as we curate our own list of diverse picturebook titles published over the past 13 years (2010-2023). The book list will be shared in this space here upon completion of the research project in 2024.
