Myra here.
We are still celebrating our 10th Year Blogiversary this whole of July.
However, I am taking just a bit of a breather today from our List of 10 (#GB101020), as I share my recent book haul from Book Depository (it didn’t make it to ten, unfortunately) – books that I am hoping I can read over the summer (or whatever will be left of it once endless work is done).
Summer Reads
I am not gonna lie – I was hoping for a much more powerful book cover for this one: I, Tituba Black Witch Of Salem by Maryse Conde translated by Richard Philcox (Amazon | Book Depository),
Hons And Rebels by Jessica Mitford (Amazon | Book Depository) – this is for my #NYRBBookClub this July at Litsy.
Stamped From The Beginning: The Definitive History Of Racist Ideas In America by Ibram X. Kendi (Amazon | Book Depository),
Yes To Life In Spite Of Everything by Viktor E. Frankl (Amazon | Book Depository).
The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes by Suzanne Collins (Amazon | Book Depository) – must I move this up my TBR stack? Any fellow bibiliophiles who have read this yet?
These two books I bought specifically for our Comic Mania reading theme: My Brother’s Husband (Books 1 and 2) by Gengoroh Tagame (Amazon | Book Depository),
Octavia Butler’s Parable Of The Sower adapted by Damian Duffy and John Jennings (Amazon | Book Depository).
Have you read any of these books yet? What was your recent book haul?
