Myra here.
Every Tuesday, we share photographs from our recent or long-ago travels, or just everyday stuff that appealed to our mindful eye and sharp sensibilities as captured through fleeting images.
Before going home to Singapore, my friend and I went on a 6-day trip to Madrid. We were going back and forth with our options – from Zurich to Amsterdam to Strasbourg to Prague to Milan. After much deliberation, we finally decided on Madrid. Perfect choice, really.
Walking the Streets of Toledo Spain
Originally, we thought of going to the beach – but after realizing that it will take us roughly around five hours going to and from Madrid, we settled on taking a half-day tour to Toledo instead.
I love bay windows.
It was a Places of Worship Kind of Half-Day Tour for us – with cathedrals and synagogues as part of our itinerary.
I enjoy taking pictures of lamp posts, lighting up travelers’ paths.
Toledo is a UNESCO Heritage site. It wasn’t really crowded with tourists when we were there,
I love Spain’s winding pathways and medieval, cobblestone streets, no matter if it is uphill climbing mostly.
As we walk up to the Jewish Area.
I love these signs too.
According to WikiTravel.org: “The history of Toledo dates back to Roman occupation (Toletum) circa 192BCE.”
Another entrance to the Cathedral.
Flags and entryways.
It does look somewhat like a fortress.
I would just like to go to Madrid someday… 🙂
