It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.

I was introduced to Shel Silverstein by a student of mine who was a college freshman and referenced The Missing Piece Meets The Big O (Amazon | Book Depository) in one of his essays over twenty years ago. Before I learned the fun riddles and humorous children’s poems of Silverstein, I thought of him as a poet who knew deeply about love and what it means to find it and lose it, this poem from Every Thing On It (Amazon | Book Depository) being one of those unforgettable verses that tugs at the heart’s strings.
