It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.

For the month of March, our book quote theme is: Woman

There is something about Alice Walker’s writing that pierces me so. The first book of hers that I read was not The Color Purple (Amazon | Book Depository) but a library book Overcoming Speechlessness (Amazon | Book Depository) which left me infinitely disturbed, enraged, yet hopeful too, all at once. As she says here in Taking The Arrow Out Of The Heart (Amazon | Book Depository): “Hope is a woman who has lost her fear.”
