Myra here.
I am currently heading a research project here in the United Arab Emirates that examines the portrayal of the diverse “other” in picturebooks, including but not limited to people with special educational needs, high creatives, gifted and talented people. Hence, we are going through the Schneider Book Award list and the Orbis Pictus Nonfiction picturebook titles – alongside other titles that we have chanced upon and would love to include in the catalogue that we are developing to serve as a resource for educators, parents, librarians. Here is a sneak preview of the titles that I received over the past weeks.
