Happy Friday! I hope you all had a nice week, especially for those of you who returned to work. It has been two weeks since some of our staff reported for office duties, while our library remains closed to the public. Not surprisingly, there’s a lot of work to be done as we prepare to offer curbside pick up and returns.
Mother’s Day was celebrated last Sunday. Daniel and I ordered flowers that were delivered to his mom the day before. The Mother’s Day feast from our local steakhouse was so tempting, but we opted for the flowers instead. Family feast will have to wait a bit more.
Today, I’m excited to introduce a new-to-me writer with a poem that pays tribute to the writer’s mother. Noor Unnahar is a twenty-two-year-old artist, writer, and social media personality. The poem featured below is taken from her collection, yesterday i was the moon.
