Just kidding.
Kenneth here.
It’s February 29th, and I was hoping to find some picturebooks about leap years to share, but it seems that it’s not a popular topic for picturebook authors!
Perhaps they’ve not had to endure the trauma of officially celebrating a birthday just once every four years?
Maybe it’s time for an official Leap Day Cocktail, created by Henry Craddock and “said to have been responsible for more proposals than any other cocktail ever mixed”. Here’s the cocktail recipe (scroll down to #7) and here’s the mocktail version (for those of us in dry countries).
Does anyone have a leap year picturebook recommendation?
Bottoms up!
