[BHE 399] Taking A Bite Out Of The Green Apple Yet Again

Book Hunting in San Francisco

BHE

Myra here.

While my family and I were in the US during the Christmas and New Year holidays, I naturally had to do my mandatory visit to San Francisco, taking a bite out of the Green Apple once more.

Green Apple Visit

I made sure I had sufficient time to really go over the massive collection of this gorgeous book store – for me to really determine which books would speak to me the most. I was also amazed by the store’s NYRB collection.

And I did find quite a few gems – most of them are on sale.

In Praise Of The Stepmother by Mario Vargas Llosa (Amazon | Book Depository),

Into The Looking-Glass Wood by Alberto Manguel (Amazon | Book Depository).

Lila by Marilynne Robinson (Amazon | Book Depository),

The North China Lover by Marguerite Duras (Amazon | Book Depository)

The Black Doll by Edward Gorey (Amazon | Book Depository),

Ransom by David Malouf (Amazon | Book Depository)

A Frida Kahlo notebook simply because I could not resist (Amazon | Book Depository).

Bloom by Kevin Panetta and Savanna Ganucheau (Amazon | Book Depository),

The Prince And The Dressmaker by Jen Wang (Amazon | Book Depository).

Saga Book 3 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples (Amazon | Book Depository)

The Forgetting Room by Nick Bantock (Amazon | Book Depository),

The Venetian’s Wife by Nick Bantock (Amazon | Book Depository).

Any of these titles familiar to you? Which do you recommend I read first?
