Big Bad Wolf Book Fair - Middle East Edition

BHE

Myra here.

Over the past four weeks, I have been sharing my book hunting expeditions in the US. This week, I am excited to share my first ever book hunting expedition here in the Middle East. Naturally, we had to start with the Big Bad Wolf book fair in Dubai! What can I say, we arrived here at the perfect time.

Big Bad Wolf – Dubai

Address: Sound Stage Venue, Dubai Studio City

The Big Bad Wolf Book fair happened last 10-20 October. Since we live around 90 minutes away (by car) from Dubai, we thought it would be good to spend the weekend there, since my husband and I haven’t really seen the beauty of Dubai yet, except for their huge airport where we arrived from Singapore.

While I was pretty pleased with my finds (see my two carts filled with books in the image above), the BBW in Malaysia is still worlds better, with a wider selection (including more Southeast Asian titles), more graphic novels, and more illustrated books – and understandably at a much cheaper price. I will definitely miss going there, but I am very relieved and happy that there is a version of the massive Big Bad Wolf Books here, so honestly, I have more reasons to be happy.
