Myra here.
It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.
I have yet to read Louisa Thomsen Brits’ The Book Of Hygge: The Danish Art of Contentment, Comfort, and Connection, but I have heard of it. The philosophy seems to be one that resonates with most people, kind of like Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. Evidently, the world needs some guidance in living simpler, more meaningful lives.
I inserted the quote above in a photo that I have taken from our bedroom with this gorgeous view – while my family and I were in Batam, Indonesia (Montigo Resorts) on Valentine’s Day this year. While I would not consider myself a huge fan of self-help, instructional manuals on how I should lead my life (which I find to be confining and utterly prescriptive), I am definitely intrigued and hope to get to one of these books at one point, when I am in the proper headspace for it.

Lovely quote and photo combination! I haven’t read either book, but something important in them is certainly resonating with people. xo
