Myra here.
Every Sunday, we share the books that managed to sneak their way into our shelves. This week, I am happy to share the books that I received for Mother’s Day (great titles, all of them), a few review copies I received from the mail, and random library finds.
Mother’s Day Book Haul
The Odyssey by Gareth Hinds, The Iliad by Gareth Hinds – I simply fell in love with the adaptations I read and reviewed here by Madeline Miller that I knew I just have to read the graphic novel versions as well.
I read and reviewed this novel and knew that I just need to purchase my own copy, it is that good and more: The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller.
Outline by Rachel Cusk, Kudos by Rachel Cusk (because I already own Transit which I bought in the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in Malaysia), Strike Your Heart by Amelie Nothomb – because I am all for reading books written by women from around the world for our #WomenReadWomen2019 reading theme.
The Mirror Visitor Book 1: A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos, The Mirror Visitor Book 2: The Missing Of Clairdelune by Christelle Dabos.

Book Gift
Super thrilled to receive this book as a gift from my best girlfriend, my sister-by-heart, who came to visit me here in Singapore a few days ago with her family. Girl Squads: 20 Female Friendships That Changed History by Sam Maggs and Illustrations by Jenn Woodall. Absolutely perfect for our #WomenReadWomen2019 theme.
How about you? What are the books that found their way into your shelves recently?
Thanks for this post, I am going to get the Odyssey & The Iliad because I love graphic novels & I just got back from a half month solo trip to Greece.
