First Quarter Round Up for the Literary Voyage Around the World Reading Challenge - #LitWorld2018GB

Myra here.

Earlier this year, we launched our Literary Voyage Around the World Reading Challenge. Our first quarter linky shows an awesome total of 81 reviews shared from participating biblio-enthusiasts and blogging friends. I would also like to take this moment to pause for awhile and track my own reading progress as a Literary Hitchhiker for the first three months of 2018.

Thus far, here were the reviews I shared:

Thus far, I have traveled to a total of 19 countries in all: Iceland, Australia, US, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Palestine, Jamaica, UK, Italy, Korea, Canada, China, Uganda, Norway, Brazil, Germany, India, Belgium.

I visited the US the most with a total of 21 reads, 5 visits to the UK, 4 visits to Australia, 3 visits to Italy, 2 visits each to France, Portugal, Germany, and one visit to all the other countries mentioned above. Not bad, if I may say so myself.

How about you? What countries have you visited thus far? What’s your literary voyage like?

Free Delivery on all Books at the Book Depository

Myra is a Teacher Educator and a registered clinical psychologist based in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Prior to moving to the Middle East, she lived for eleven years in Singapore serving as a teacher educator. She has edited five books on rediscovering children’s literature in Asia (with a focus on the Philippines, Malaysia, India, China, Japan) as part of the proceedings for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content where she served as the Chair of the Programme Committee for the Asian Children’s Writers and Illustrators Conference from 2011 until 2019. While she is an academic by day, she is a closet poet and a book hunter at heart. When she is not reading or writing about books or planning her next reads, she is hoping desperately to smash that shuttlecock to smithereens because Badminton Is Life (still looking for badminton courts here at UAE - suggestions are most welcome).
