Myra here.
Every Tuesday, we share photographs from our recent or long-ago travels, or just everyday stuff that appealed to our mindful eye and sharp sensibilities as captured through fleeting images.
Pastamadre in Milan
Address: Via Bernardino Corio, 8, 20135 Milano MI, Italy
I am still very much into my European food trip. As each month progresses, the possibility of my going to Europe this year becomes slimmer, hence, this is my way of reliving exquisite, unforgettable moments.
We googled which out-of-the-way restos we should go to while in Milan so we went to Pastamadre for lunch.
I had spaghetti with spring onion, pecorino cheese, creamed black olives and fish egg.
Husband had traditional pasta with fresh sardinas, wild fennel, pine nuts and dried grape.
For dessert, we had the millefoglie classica, and espresso.
Pizza in Pisa: Ristorante Pizzeria Duomo
Address: Via Roma, 70, 56126 Pisa PI, Italy
One of the things that we also made sure we did while in Italy was to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa – which we totally missed the year before.
It was totally worth the trip. While we were there, we had lunch at the Ristorante Pizzeria Duomo.
We had the pizza cruda which was absolutely divine. Plus the lasagna (for ze husband), and gnocchi gorgonzola for the sixteen year old faery.
Post-Pisa Pizza.
One cannot possibly go wrong with gorgonzola cheese gnocchi.
Husband’s nearly demolished lasagna.
This is a must-try when in Italy: tartufo with espresso for dessert.
Nothing like this on a hot summer day.
Post-Pisa pizza! Cute.
