[Photo Journal] Mercato Centrale in Firenze: Meat and Gelato Galore

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been sharing food photographs – and this week is no exception.

Mercato Centrale in Firenze: Meat and Gelato Galore

Before visiting Florence, we did a quick internet search of food places that we must go to – and the Central Market in Florence happens to be one of them. It is a huge, sprawling edifice that is like a marketplace-cum-foodcourt. Lots of choices for the famished. Unfortunately, I missed out on the name of the eatery that caught our eye, but here’s our food!

My favourite part of the meal is dessert. And so we went up the second level of Mercato Centrale to find this dessert place – Il Cioccolato E Il Gelato.

And it does have a lot of gelato – and crepes!!

So what did we end up having? Their world-champion cake, but of course; plus, crepes and espresso! To say that we went back to our AirBnB stuffed is an understatement.
