Myra here.
Every Sunday, we share our book hunting expeditions – either in the cities where we live – or our recent travels. We also share books that call out to us from our library visits – or books we received for review, or those we have adopted simply because books call to us and hunt us down (rather than the other way around really). This week, I am happy to share my book loot from the recent SG Book Deals Book sale a few weeks ago. Most of the books are from S$ 5 up.
SG Book Deals Book Loot
There aren’t very many books, compared to their other warehouse sales – but I found the titles to be really interesting. I value quality over quantity, anyway. 🙂 So in brief, here is my book loot:
I find these to be two of my greatest finds. I’ve been meaning to get my hands on the novels of Knausgaard, so I nearly squealed out loud when I saw these – My Struggle Book 2: A Man In Love by Karl Ove Knausgaard, My Struggle Book 4: Dancing In The Dark by Karl Ove Knausgaard.
Songs About A Girl by Chris Russell, Mazerunner Series Book 5: Fever Code by James Dashner, Max by Sarah Cohen-Scali.
The Doll’s House by Louise Phillips, Evil Librarian by Michelle Knudsen.
The Wager by Donna Jo Napoli, The Chimes by Anna Smaill.
The Flamethrowers by Rachel Kushner, Armada by Ernest Cline.
The Devil’s Star by Jo Nesbo, The Leopard by Jo Nesbo.
The City Of Mirrors by Justin Cronin – I just realized belatedly that this is actually the third book in a series called The Passage, now I will have to hunt down the following – Book 1: The Passage and Book 2: The Twelve.
The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold, Blood Wedding by Pierre Lemaitre, A Whole Life by Robert Seethaler.
The Watch That Ends The Night: Voices From The Titanic by Allan Wolf, The Five Rings: Miyamoto Musashi’s Art of Strategy – The New Illustrated Edition Of The Japanese Warrior Classic Translated by David K. Groff. This last one is also a great find – see some of the inside images below:
