Myra here.
Given our current MetaReading theme, I thought it would be a good time to really take a hard look at my personal library and hunt down those novels about books that need to be dusted off and read finally. Among all these titles, I only read one: The Collected Works of AJ Fikry for our book club. I have a feeling that I still have quite a number of titles, hiding in my shelf, shying away from the spotlight. I shall find you too in due time.
My Personal Collection of Books About Books
The Collected Works Of A. J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin, Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan.
The Little Bookstore Of Big Stone Gap by Wendy Welch, A Book For All And None by Clare Morgan.
Parnassus On Wheels by Christopher Morley, The Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley.
The Librarian by Mikhail Elizarov, The Book Of Dead Days by Marcus Sedgwick.
The Lost Books Of The Odyssey by Zachary Mason, The Children’s Book by A. S. Byatt.
People Of The Book by Geraldine Brooks, The Book Of Strange New Things by Michel Faber.
The Book Of Secrets by M. G. Vasanji, The Book Lover’s Tale by Ivo Stourton, A Child’s Book Of True Crime by Chloe Hooper.
The Brotherhood Of Book Hunters by Raphaël Jerusalmy.
The Reading Promise: My Father And The Books We Shared by Alice Ozma, A Reading Diary by Alberto Manguel (the one with the ugly cover – bought this via Abebooks, did not realize it looked like this when I bought it, unfortunately), When I Was A Child I Read Books by Marilynne Robinson.
Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker, The Book Of Life by Deborah Harkness.
The Boy Book by E. Lockhart.
I am hoping I get to finish this for our current reading theme: The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman, The Masked City by Genevieve Cogman, The Burning Page by Genevieve Cogman.
Maybe the Thursday Next series?
