[BHE 210] Loot from Book Sales in Singapore, Book Gifts, and Book Depository

BHE

Myra here.

Every Sunday, we share the books that have found their way into our hands. Over the past several weeks, there have been quite a number of book sales here in Singapore – which naturally made me a very happy girl.

I actually received this review copy a few weeks ago and immediately read it – . Will be posting a review this week!

Book Sale in Cathay

When my husband and I picked up our daughter a few weeks ago, we passed by Cathay and chanced upon a random book sale. Naturally, I could not resist buying these lovelies: The Dark Tower (The Dark Tower #4): Wizard and Glass by Stephen King, The Teardrop Story Woman by Catherine Lim, The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. These books are 3 for 10 sgd.

Book Sale in Big Box

This is quite the sweet deal: 3 brand new books for 10 dollars.

I mentioned to Pansing Books that I still need to read a horror story for my Book Riot Read Harder Challenge, and they were kind enough to send me review copies of these Stephen King novels: Bazaar of Bad Dreams: Thrilling Stories and Mr Mercedes.

Book Depository – My Mother’s Day Book Loot

I think I must have mentioned in my Facebook page how Book Depository is both a boon and a bane, my sin and my salvation. I know I should cease and desist from purchasing books, but how can I when Book Depository makes it so darn easy with just a few clicks. These are books that my husband got for me.

When I realized that this was a trilogy, I ordered all three titles by Alice Walker: The Color Purple, The Temple of My Familiar, Possessing the Secret of Joy

I have been waiting for this book for a long time. It’s here. The Pharos Gate: Griffin and Sabine’s Lost Correspondence by Nick Bantock.

How about you, fellow bibliophiles? What books found you over the past several weeks?
