[Photo Journal] Mahibadhoo Beach

photojournal

Myra here.

We are excited to share photographs every Tuesday from our recent or long-ago travels, or just everyday stuff that appealed to our mindful eye and sharp sensibilities as captured through fleeting images.

Mahibadhoo Beach, Maldives

For the past two weeks, I kept my posts about Maldives restricted solely to our island tours on foot – avoiding as much as I can photos of the beach, as I wanted to do a gradual build-up for today’s post which features nothing but the infinite blue.

As a child of the tropics, born in a country that has 7,107 islands, and with such wonders as Boracay and Palawan, I am difficult to please when it comes to white sand beaches. I have been spoiled by my home country. My glorious experience in both Boracay and Palawan kind of ruined all other potential beach experiences for me in other places. But not now. Not in Maldives. This place is simply too awe-inspiring.

Perfect place for snorkeling.

Perfect place to read too!

And fish as well! Look at how crystal clear the waters are.

Our mermaid hearts are happy.
