Hammock Love in Maldives
For my fortieth birthday and my daughter’s week-long school break, we had a Maldives getaway. This will be the start of a series of posts on Maldives – simply because I have fallen in love with the place. These photos were taken by my 14 year old girl who has quite the keen eye when it comes to taking pictures.
For our first full day in the island, our kind and charming host took us on a tour of the Mahibadhoo island.
I was particularly struck – not just by the crystalline blue of the beach – but also the hammocks that are set up under the shade of the trees, close to the beach, perfect for chit-chat among the locals.
Don’t they look relaxing?
One could deduce the laid-back vibe of this place from these hammocks alone. 🙂
So beautiful! Glad you had a great time. 🙂
