Myra here.
Every Sunday, we are excited to share books that managed to find their way into our hands and landed straight into our ever-growing bookshelves. This week, I am especially excited as I now get to share my book loot from the Page One Book Sale which happened a few weeks ago here in Singapore.
Page One Book Sale
Here I am doing what I do best: Book Hunting!
And here’s my book loot!
Middle Grade/ YA novels
Brand new books were sold at 5 for 10 dollars – or at 80% off – which is something like 2 dollars per book.
Looking for Alaska by John Green, Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones
The Fall of Five by Pittacus Lore, The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness
Goosebumps titles for my 13 year old girl who still hunts these titles down, even though she hardly reads them. Takes after her mother. Babymouse Burns Rubber by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm.
Fyre by Angie Sage – one of my greatest finds – seems like this is the final book in the Septimus Heap series which I have been collecting for awhile now. Merlin: The Seven Songs by T. A. Barron.
Still my daughter’s finds: Color me Swooooon (I got her the One Direction version during the Pansing Book Sale), a One Direction magazine and But You Like Really Dated?! The Celebropedia of Hollywood Hookups.
Adult Novels/ Nonfiction Titles
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, The Days of Anna Madrigal by Armistead Maupin, This Star Won’t Go Out by Esther Earl.
My husband selected these titles as he prints shirts: The Ultimate T-Shirt Collection, More T-Shirts.
Fantasy Novels/ Adult Fiction
For my Terry Pratchett collection: Feet of Clay, Carpe Jugulum, Unseen Academicals
The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman, The Beggar Maid: Stories of Flo & Rose by Alice Munro. I will binge read all of my new Alice Munro novels very soon.
Ripper by Isabel Allende, Occasion for Loving by Nadine Gordimer.
Raised from the Ground by Jose Saramago, Titus Alone by Mervyn Peake.
Dang! You got Fyre – that’s the only Septimus Heap book I haven’t read! 🙂 Great finds! 🙂
