[Featured Guest for Comic Crazy Reading Theme] Trese’s Budjette Tan!

Myra here.

I am happy to share that we have Budjette Tan back in GatheringBooks as our Featured Storyteller.

Meet the Storyteller: Budjette Tan

Technically, we featured Budjette and Kajo two years ago when we had our Monsters reading theme. However, Budjette’s extremely hectic schedule prevented him from answering my interview questions during that period. And so, he’s back! The picture below was taken here in Singapore when Budjette attended a work-related conference a few years back.

Budjette Tan is creative director by day, copywriter by night, comic book writer after midnight. He is the author of TRESE, a series of urban fantasy graphic novels co-created with Kajo Baldisimo. TRESE won the Best Graphic Literature Award at the 2010 and 2012 Philippine National Book Awards. He recently launched a new comic book called The Dark Colony: Mikey Recio and the Secret of the Demon Dungeon, co-created by Bow Guerrero and JB Tapia. Tan is also the editor of the graphic novels Skyworld, The Filipino Heroes League, Bathala: Apokalypsis, Erik matti’s Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles and Co-Editor of the YA Magazine, Kwentillion.

How about you, fellow bibliophiles? Any exciting events happening to your blog in the next two months?
