Fats here.
To continue from last week, I have a few more photos taken from the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. The pictures I am going to show you today were a few locations shown in the movie, Shawshank Redemption. There were other movies filmed inside the reformatory, but Shawshank Redemption has to be the most popular of them all. Have you seen the film? It’s excellent, and I highly recommend that you watch it. Anyway, I’m glad to be able to share these photos for today’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge hosted by Frizz!
The photo above was the warden’s office in the movie.
Although similar to the first picture, this was actually where the scene with Morgan Freeman and the parole board took place.
Above was the setting for the halfway house where good ol’ Brooks stayed after being released from prison. It was pretty creepy seeing that chair in the middle.
Last but not the least was, to me, one of the more famous and recognizable in the movie. What happened above, I leave that for you to find out.

I actually just saw this film last week for a movie club discussion. How incredibly fascinating that you actually got to step foot and experience the movie set.
Thanks for sharing these with us 🙂

You’re welcome, Claudia. And nice! I love that movie. It was really good. Yes, I’m glad I was able to take the tour! The hole that the prisoners dug to escape was actually just a makeshift hole. Silly me, I forgot to take a picture of it. This year marked the 20th Anniversary of Shawshank Redemption and they had a special dinner event that my boyfriend’s mom and her twin sister went to. The actor who played the warden in the movie also attended the event. =)

“Shawshank Redemption is one of my and my boyfriend’s favorites. Come to think of it, my son’s and d-i-law’s, too. It’s fantastic! I’ve wanted to read the book, but never found it at Barnes. Need to try the library! Thanks for sharing these pics, Fats!
