[BHE 112] MPH Book Sale in Singapore (Part 1 of 2)

Myra here.

One of the things that makes this little geek’s heart beat faster is when there is a huge book sale here in Singapore. And what better way to share my book loot than through our Book Hunting Expedition posts every Sunday here at GatheringBooks. Here are the books that found me during the booksale.

MPH Book Sale

I thought of dividing my BHE post in two, as I did manage to snag quite a few titles. Let me begin with a few children’s books and YA fiction.

Guys Read: Other Worlds edited by Jon Scieszka, The Penderwicks at Point Mouette by Jeanne Birdsall, Strata by Terry Pratchett, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett, The Last Apprentice: Lure of the Dead by Joseph Delaney.

More Skulduggery Pleasant titles by Derek Landy: Kingdom of the Wicked, Mortal Coil, Death Bringer, Last Stand of Dead Men.

The Warlock by Michael Scott, Emily the Strange: Piece of Mind by Rob Reger, Buzz Parker (Illustrator) and Jessica Gruner, Extreme Babymouse by Jennifer L. Holm & Matthew Holm.

Lunch Lady and the League of Librarians by Jarrett J. Krosoczka.

Usborne Stories from Shakespeare, Potential: The High School Comic Chronicles of Ariel Schrag.

Two Lemony Snicket books! Who could that be at this hour? and When Did you See Her Last? Gail Carson Levine’s Fairies and the Quest for Never Land and Rebecca Stead’s Liar & Spy.

The Diviners by Libba Bray, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith.

Lots of books by Maurice Sendak: My Brother’s Book, Pierre: A Cautionary Tale in Five Chapters and a Prologue, Alligators All Around: An Alphabet. Then there is also the Newbery Honor book Along Came a Dog by Meindert DeJong with illustrations by Maurice Sendak.

Rotters by Daniel Kraus, Zombie Baseball Beatdown by Paolo Bacigalupi, The Silver Dream edited by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves, Fortunately the Milk by Neil Gaiman.

Middle School: My Brother is a Big Fat Liar by James Patterson, Treasure Hunters by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein, Other Worlds: 10 Amazing Fantasy Stories edited by Jon Scieszka.

How about you, dear friends, what books found their way into your shelves this week?
