I am delighted to join Poetry Friday this week. I am sharing a short but lovely poem by William Carlos Williams, a simple ode to his favorite dish: the caviar. Caviar is a delicacy consisting of salt-cured fish-eggs. I have not had one myself, but I’ve seen it featured in TV shows like The Amazing Race, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, and An Idiot Abroad. Maybe one of these days I’ll try it.
Today’s post is in celebration of our current theme on food, and the Poetry Friday round-up is hosted by Violet Nesdoly.
