Myra here.
I am glad to join Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge this week with S is for Sultanate Palace in Malacca. During Spring Break, my family and I did an impromptu overnight stay in Malacca. We love the place and we would most definitely come back again for another visit.
Sultanate Palace – Malacca

“If you don’t know history, then you don’t know anything. You are a leaf that doesn’t know it is part of a tree. ”
― Michael Crichton

“I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realises an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don’t have complete emotions about the present, only about the past.”
― Virginia Woolf

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”
― George Orwell

“History is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the winner writes the history books-books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe. As Napoleon once said, ‘What is history, but a fable agreed upon?”
― Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code

“The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
