- Write the very first sentence in the book you are currently reading.“Max would never forget that faraway summer when, almost by chance, he discovered magic.” – Prince of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

- If you were to be a rockstar for a day who would you be?Brandon Boyd of Incubus or David Bowie.

- When did poetry find you and what does it mean to you?5th grade. Poetry saved me and I don’t mean this poetically. It really did save me.
- When did your passion for children’s literature begin? Who do you identify as the culprit in your love affair with this genre?College Days. Fats.

- Christmas Or Halloween?Christmas.
- Complete this sentence: “They paved paradise and put up a….”…a wall around it, hoping it would keep paradise safe.
So those are my answers. I’m not really tagging anyone. I think, one from this blog is enough. 😀
Hi Iphigene. I watched Spirited Away last year and it was pretty awesome. My first and only Studio Ghibli so far. But I have a couple more lined up. I think I have the following: Totoro, Mononoke, Kiki’s, Pom Poko, and Porco Rosso.
I have only read one manga. It’s called Dramacon (Vol 1 and 2) by Svetlana Chmakova. The number of manga titles are kind of overwhelming but it’s something that I am willing to try more of. A friend has been encouraging me to watch Naruto and Fairy Tale but I haven’g gotten around doing so.

Hi Tin,
My first Studio Ghilbi film was Grave of Fireflies which Myra had as watch in class as part of our discussion on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The next i watched was Howl’s Moving Castle, Hayao’s adaptation of Dianne Wynne Jones’ book.
I was first an anime fan before i was into mangas, just because mangas back in the day were hard too find and too costly. I used to watch Naruto, I don’t anymore. I watched Fairy Tale, pretty awesome except the animation changed in the new storyline.
I think i started liking anime when i discovered it wasn’t necessarily catered to kids and some of the storylines were pretty original. What cemented however my love for it was Samurai X. You can say I’m a big fan of the Samurai era. But yeah, I think of Japan and i think of the art and the culture and i just swoon.
