It is Tuesday! Time for Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge. Letter this week is W, and so I share photos of my first winter with snowfall. Hooray! I was in Ohio a couple of weeks ago and spent time with my boyfriend and his family. It usually doesn’t snow at this time of the year but I was fortunate to have seen snow when I was there. Here are a few snapshots I took the night the snow fell and the day after. These may not be the best snow pictures but the snow certainly made my winter this year extra special.
“Snow falling soundlessly in the middle of the night will always fill my heart with sweet clarity.”
— Novala Takemoto, Missin’ (novel)“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
— Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
“All Heaven and Earth
Flowered white obliterate…
Snow… unceasing snow.”
— Hashin, Japanese haiku
“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
— John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

Glad you enjoyed your snow! 😀

Glad you enjoyed your Wintry Snow in Wooster. So did we! We are expecting 4 – 6 inches more today. I think John Steinbeck has the right idea. Thank you!
