It’s Tuesday once again. Time for Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge. Letter this week is Q and so I share photographs from the quirky shops I found while visiting Slovakia.
Quirky Little Shops in Fairyland Slovakia
Fairyland in Slovakia
Plump fairy godmothers.
A fractured fairy tale in the making.
And there shall be dancing fairy princesses.
Pixies and elves.
Dancing monkeys and frog princes.
A petrified Frog Prince – among other stuff.
As my friend’s shirt says: “Your powers are useless.. the clowns are on my side.”
A different sort of angel.
Feathered and elongated cherubs.
Cheshire cats with curlicue tails and a sinister grin.
One of my favorites: The Melancholy Marriage of Oyster Boy, Tim Burton style.
Trapped in a Tim Burton-esque Fairyland.
Thumbelina with a twist.
Puppetocircus Maximus – reminded me of Walter Moers’ Labyrinth of Dreaming Books.
Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Autumn People. And there shall be strings.
And of course there has to be witches, lots of them.
Wouldn’t be a fairyland now without them, would it?
A trapped Slovakian fairy Princess cursed to be a storekeeper for thousands of years with Maleficent himself disguised with half a horn and grisly tattoos.
Well, hello there, Hansel and Gretel. Let me feel your fingers now, my sweetlings.
What a fun-looking store!
