[BHE 75] Book Fairs in Singapore = Book Bargain Love (Part 1 of 3)

BHE

It’s Sunday! Time for our Book Hunting Expedition posts where we talk about the books that have found their way into our hands and our bookshelves. They may have hounded us until we simply gave in and allowed them to have their way with us.

This week, I am sharing my book loot from the recent book fairs here in Singapore by EverNew Bookstore.

Book Loot from Star Vista Mall

The good titles are sold at 3 books for 10 dollars – not bad, I thought.

Some of the children’s book titles range from 1.90 to 6.90 or even 7.90 depending on whether the books are still in gently-used condition.

I’ve always been intrigued by I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore, so I thought I might as well buy it. I didn’t realize I already have Jasper Fforde’s Shades of Grey, so I would give this away to a friend this Christmas.

And since I have a collection of Paulo Coelho’s novels, I am glad to find Brida on sale.

Discworld novels on sale! How cool is that. Terry Pratchett’s The Last Continent, Hogfather, and Jingo.

**** Book Find ****

My book find. A little more expensive than the rest at 5.90 but well worth it: Umberto Eco’s The Prague Cemetery.

How about you, dear friends, what books found their way into your hands this week?

  1. I remember when I bought Shades of Grey from the clearance section of Barnes & Noble sometime last year. The cashier pointed out that it was not the bestseller that many people were reading lately–that was 50 Shades of Grey. Ummmm…yeah…I tried not to look too aggravated as I said, “I know,” because she was trying to be helpful, but still! Sheesh!
