It is Tuesday! Time for Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge. Letter this week is P and so I share yummylicious photographs of food that begin with P that I tasted in Budapest and Bratislava just a few months back.
Pork Knuckle from Budapest: Hungary for Crispy Pata

We call this crispy pata in the Philippines, otherwise known as pork knuckle.

It’s good that we found this eatery quite close to our hotel in Budapest. I couldn’t remember the name any longer but it’s packed filled with meat.

My travel buddy and good friend Tuting Hernandez was determined to get his pork knuckle fix before we head back to our respective homes.

So many to choose from.
Pork and Potato from Bratislava

Pork meat – this is said to be a Czech national speciality – Roasted pork meat, cabbage, home-made dumplings: Schweinsbraten mit gedünsteten Sauerkraut und hausgemachte Knödel. Tuting’s choice.

And this is mine: Potato dumpling with cheese and bacon.

We also went to another restaurant where I ordered Potato halusky (dumplings) with bryndza (smoked sheep cheese), and bacon: Brimsenockerln mit Bryndza und geräucherten Schafkäse mit Speck.

Evidently we had our fill in these two beautiful Eastern European countries.
Yuuum!

and I’m sure, Myra, you’ll have no problems to upload a post if it comes to X in our A to Z challenge: I like the T-shirt of your travel buddy and good friend Tuting Hernandez – it’s good for A = Amsterdam too!

Frizz is being well fed this week, Myra. The previous entry was about pasta 🙂
I’d love to dine in Budapest.
