Alright, gather round, boys and girls. I know this post is much delayed. Thank you dear GatheringReaders for your patience. As you all know, today is Father’s Day and so we spent the whole day out in celebration.
Here are some questions I would like you all to think about. And do share your responses in the Comments Section. There are no right or wrong answers. Just a sharing of thoughts and insights. For our other friends and visitors here, please feel free to join in our discussion as well.
- What were some of the thoughts that came to your mind when you heard about the title of our book this month?
- How did Anya change as a person throughout the book? Did the character of the ghost (Emily Reilly) change as well in the book? If so, how?
- What were some of the perks (advantages) of having a ghost for a friend as seen in the novel? How about some of the not-so-good effects of having a ghost-friend?
- What did you think about Anya’s friend Siobhan?
- Why was Anya trying to avoid Dima? Do you think you would do the same thing, if it were you?
- Anya feels a bit different as a Russian American, do you know anyone who may be going through the same thing as Anya? How is he/she different from Anya?
- How was Anya transformed by the entire experience of having tripped down a well?
Gathering Books 
I adored Anya’s Ghost. It’s a perfect coming of age as Anya stops trying to conform and learns to accept herself for who she is. The art style was fantastic as well. 🙂

1. i thought it would be a very eerie book
2. Anya did change as a person, because she first started out to be very shy and irresponsible with her work. But then she started becoming more responsible and brave in the book.
3. Well a good thing is that they might be smarter than you and help you with your work and issues, but the bad part is that they would want to take over your life! Witch is very BAD.
4. I thought siobhan was awesome. because she was very funny and mean.
5. I think Anya wanted to avoid Dima because he is a nerd, and there the only russians

7. She changed by listening more to the ghost, but toward the end she found out a nasty secret that the ghost kept from her, (and lied about) that Anya stopped listening to her.

I thought the book to be interesting.
Anya changed as a person by deciding not to smoke in the end.
They might be very helpful but you wouldn’t know if they are evil.
She was a good friend.
She thinks Dima is too nerdy and did not want to be his friend.i wouldn’t do the same thing if it was me.

She became more matured as a girl,

1. I though that this book will be scary as it is also under the youth section.
2. Anya did change as a person. At first, she thought smoking was cool and smoked but she decided not to in the end.
3. The good thing is that the ghost helped Anya in her studies and tried helping Anya it get a BOYFRIEND.
4. I thought Siobhan was a good friend and keep Anya company but bad to influence Anya into smoking.
5. She thought Dima was kind of nerdy and they were the only Russians in the school.
6. No. I do not have a friend going through the same thing as Anya.
7. She trusted the ghost more and listened to her advice but she stopped listening to her when she figured out the ugly through that she was not chased by the man mentioned and fell into the well but she had actually murdered a couple due to hatred and jealousness.
