It’s Tuesday in our part of the world. Time for Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Story Challenge. Letter this week is X and so I cheat a bit by sharing you my Xtraordinary Xcapade in Manila just two weeks back. I was invited to be one of the speakers for the National Book Development Board’s Little Lit Festival, so it was truly a whirlwind since the event happened right after the Asian Festival of Children’s Content here in Singapore.
Since I was only staying for three days and two nights, I needed to make sure that I meet up with lovely people who are truly close to my heart. I was very fortunate that one of my best friends and her family was able to make it for a quickie road trip to Tagaytay to visit one of our favorite places: Sonia’s Garden. My friend also happens to be my family now since she married my husband’s first cousin – so our children are kin! Very cool, really.
These photographs are my tribute to her husband, my husband’s cousin also a very dear friend of mine, Bheb, for driving almost six hours in total for us to taste Sonia’s Garden goodness. And yes, they drove me directly to the airport after for my evening flight. Talk about whirlwind indeed. Here’s to xtraordinary xcapades and family and friends!
