It is that time of the week once more as we join Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Challenge once again. Letter this week is M and our Featured Photographer, Blanche Berzamin-Acabado has chosen the theme Magic.
Here are her photographs and stories.
The word magic implies many things. It can mean different things to different people. When I hear the word magic, I think about excitement, wonder, and mystery! Below are some pictures of things that I consider to be magical because when I look at them, I always get excited, I always wonder at their beauty, and I always find them mysterious. So, here’s a little touch of magic from me to you…
Magical Moon
This photo was taken June of this year in Tamuning, Guam. I was looking out our window and was amazed at this very bright and very round moon. I immediately got my camera and took a few shots. A few days later, I found out that I was able to take a picture of the supermoon! Visions of the earth’s natural satellite have always been fascinating to many people and the image of the supermoon was beyond fascinating. It was magical.
Magical Rainbow
Hawai’i, which was our home for almost five wonderful years, is known by many names one of which is the Rainbow State. Suffice it to say that this name was derived from the fact that one often gets to see magnificent rainbows at any part of the state. Rainbows are one of the most amazing things that we can possibly see. To many of us, they can be symbols of happiness, of hope, and yes, of magic. This photo was taken in May 2010 at Manoa after my husband’s PhD graduation ceremony. It was a magical symbol for a magical day.

Love the rainbow picture! 🙂
