Photo Journal/ Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

We are joining this week’s photo challenge yet again as hosted by The Daily Post at WordPress. The theme this week is “Inside.” I thought of sharing two photographs from Harvard in Boston, as I felt that the composition of the second photo was quite inspired and fits the theme perfectly. My husband took the photographs but I post-processed them. I hope you enjoy them.

Harvard University, Boston

The sign above says: “Enter to Grow in Wisdom”

“What else can I do? Once you’ve gone this far you aren’t fit for anything else. Something happens to your mind. You’re overqualified, overspecialized, and everybody knows it. Nobody in any other game would be crazy enough to hire me. I wouldn’t even make a good ditch-digger, I’d start tearing apart the sewer-system, trying to pick-axe and unearth all those chthonic symbols – pipes, valves, cloacal conduits… No, no. I’ll have to be a slave in the paper-mines for all time.”
― Margaret Atwood, The Edible Woman

And we entered the gates of wisdom.

“You wasted $150,000 on an education you could have got for a buck fifty in late charges at the public library.”
― Ben Affleck & Matt Damon, Good Will HuntingGood Will Hunting

How about you, dear friends? What photographs made you think of the theme “Inside?” Leave a link in the Comments Section and I’d be sure to drop by your post and visit.

Prior to moving to the Middle East, she lived for eleven years in Singapore serving as a teacher educator. She has edited five books on rediscovering children’s literature in Asia (with a focus on the Philippines, Malaysia, India, China, Japan) as part of the proceedings for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content where she served as the Chair of the Programme Committee for the Asian Children’s Writers and Illustrators Conference from 2011 until 2019.
