Photo Journal/ Photo Challenge: Z is for Zen, Zeal and Zenith

It’s that time of the week again as we join Frizzztext’s A-Z Photo Challenge. Letter this week is Z and our theme is Zen, Zeal and Zenith as we feature Elena Yamamoto Flores’ photographs.

Our featured photographer, Elena Yamamoto Flores

Zen

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunsetsky.”

– Rabindranath Tagore quotes (Indian Poet, Playwright and Essayist, Won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, 1861-1941)

Zeal

The dance is a poem of which each movement is a world.”
Mata Hari quotes (Dutch Dancer and Spy for the German secret service during World War II. One of the most famous persons in the history of espionage. 1876-1917)

Zenith

We’d never know how high we are, till we are called to rise; and then, if we are true to plan, our statures touch the sky”
Emily Dickinson quotes (American Poet who has been called the New England mystic, 1830-1886)

How about you? What is your Z photo for the week?

Myra is a Teacher Educator and a registered clinical psychologist based in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Prior to moving to the Middle East, she lived for eleven years in Singapore serving as a teacher educator. She has edited five books on rediscovering children’s literature in Asia (with a focus on the Philippines, Malaysia, India, China, Japan) as part of the proceedings for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content where she served as the Chair of the Programme Committee for the Asian Children’s Writers and Illustrators Conference from 2011 until 2019. While she is an academic by day, she is a closet poet and a book hunter at heart. When she is not reading or writing about books or planning her next reads, she is hoping desperately to smash that shuttlecock to smithereens because Badminton Is Life (still looking for badminton courts here at UAE - suggestions are most welcome).
