“When I have little money, I buy books; if any is left I buy food or clothes.”
– Desiderius Erasmus, Dutch priest
It was only recently that I found out that the Chula Vista Public Library holds book sales every once in a while (#facepalm). It was the cheapest book sale I have ever been to. All paperback children’s fiction were priced at 10¢ each. All other paperback cost 50¢ each. Hardbound books were being sold for $1. I paid a total of $5.60 for my loot. YAY!! =)

Those library books were really good deals… but Barnes & Noble got the best of me. Just when I thought I wouldn’t be spending money, I found myself purchasing 2 hardbound books to add to my collection. You see, a couple of hours before I placed my order online, Myra and I were talking about the movie HUGO. It led to a short musing on The Invention of Hugo Cabret from which the movie was based. Then, we talked about The Girl Who Ruled Fairyland for a Little While, the sequel to The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland, the eBook version of which was featured in http://www.tor.com/. This was followed by a short albeit mouth-watering discussion on Clive Barker’s ABARAT series. With the mention of these wonderful books, how could I resist? So…
