Mortimer’s First Garden by Karma Wilson and Dan Andreasen, a Book Review by Aila Orillaza, 4 years old

Ina (Mother): Aila, can you tell me something about the book?

He wanted his garden to grow. And watered the sunflower. He put some water, and then there was rain (but he already put water). It has lots and lots of rain. And then the sunflower growed and growed. And then he went to his hole house and then he slept. The end.

Did you like it?

Yes

Why?

Because it was really beautiful.

What did you learn from it?

I don’t know. He watered his seeds.

Was he a good mouse?

Yes. Because he waited for his sunflower to grow.

This is so precious. Thank you, Ina, for sending us Aila's lovely thoughts about this book.
