Much as I would like to pull an all-nighter, I don’t think it’s humanly feasible since I woke up at an ungodly hour of 6 am this morning and will do so again tomorrow for my daughter’s swimming lessons. And so I turn in for the night and update you all again of my reading progress tomorrow until 9pm. So far, from the last time I have posted my initial 100-minute update here, I was able to finish two more books. An illustrated YA fiction by Florence Parry Heide as illustrated by Edward Gorey, entitled “The Shrinking of Treehorn.” I
discovered this book through Suzy Lee’s recommendation in our Behind the Books feature where she shared that this just happens to be one of her favorite books when she was a kid. It’s good I was able to find the book in our community library. I also finished reading “Donald and the…” also by Edward Gorey and Peter F. Neumeyer. Very gothic and Addams Family-ish. So beautiful to know these children’s book authors. To get an update on what is going on with the FFP Readathon, visit this site or better yet their Facebook page where they share short updates about what’s going on and who’s around Libreria. Have fun, guys!
Woo! Edward Gorey! I wanted to read him, but the only unread Edward Gorey I had was a Christmas story 🙂
It’s 2:42 and a bunch of us are still reading… See you tomorrow!
