A friend has alerted me to the World eBook Fair Collection which begins today until the 4th of August 2010. Free Access to 3.5 MILLION e-books, created by contributions from 100+ e-libraries around the world. Check this link out for access to millions of books for free.
For GatheringBooks readers, here are some databases that might prove to be of interest:
Children’s eBook Collection (around 993 PDF eBooks) – I’ve browsed through some of the titles, and most of the books are classics (Hans Christian Andersen, many titles by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Lewis Carroll and many more).
Classic Literature Collection (with works from Greek Philosophers, to world-renowned poets – around 10, 823 PDF E-books in all)
E-Asia Collection which has around 422 titles.
Poets Collection (since I live and breathe poetry, I would definitely visit this). It houses 1300 PDF Poetry Compilations and has in its shelves “over 8000 of the most popular English poems ever composed, spanning over five hundred years” – you can’t go wrong with that.
Last of my favorite database would be the Women Writers Collection which is a database of texts by women writing in English. Around 103 PDF ePublications.
Happy Digital Reading everyone!
