Bloggiesta Quests – Let the Fun Begin!

Just yesterday, we posted our intention to join the Bloggiesta Fiesta this weekend and we have listed down our to-do list and goals. I have had a full-day staff retreat at East Coast Park and I rushed to have a quick visit to Bras Basah (my favorite bargain book store here in Singapore) before heading on to watch Moliere’s play The Imaginary Invalid this evening at the Singapore School of the Arts [with my family] as performed by the Theatre students I have been observing for the past month now. Now that I have more time to breathe, I can now attend to Bloggiesta matters. Olé!

And so, let me begin with a quest:

I chanced upon this quote from a book I have just bought this late afternoon: Arthur: The Seeing Stone by Kevin Crossley-Holland. And I thought that this would be a fitting start as we list down a few of the mini-challenges that we hope to undertake this weekend for Bloggiesta – the master list is now up in Suey’s It’s All About the Books.

And let's have a bit of nachos and salsa too for appetizer.

Emily’s Reading Room is hosting Ways to Freshen Up Your ContentWe felt that since this has been a topic of conversation lately between Iphigene, Fats, and myself, we might as well go for this one.

Florinda from The 3 R’s Blog (@florinda_3rs) has also come up with a cute challenge Mobilize! which I think is perfect for me since I could use either my iPad or iPhone even while on the go, and I can draft a few posts in advance using other tools apart from my trusty mac.

Janicu from Janicu’s Book Blog (@janicu) is hosting a Goodreads Challenge that fits perfectly with the list that I have just created yesterday.

Joy from Joy’s Book Blog (@joyweesemoll) is sharing with everyone how to use Pinterest to Promote Your BlogWe have been active Pinterest users for a period of time now, and we’d like to use this time to also update our boards and link up with more people. And once more, it fits our to-do list perfectly.

Penelope at The Reading Fever (@ReadingFever) is also offering Sidebar Help: What DoYou Really Need! which fits Iphigene’s goals.

Danielle from There’s A Book has just posted a Comment Challenge that we would also be sure to join, as we plan on making new friends as well this weekend.

While all the other mini-challenges seem particularly exciting, we also have to be realistic in terms of what we can do, and for the meantime, this is what we are able to commit to – in addition to the tasks that we have listed down. And to get ourselves into the Bloggiesta Feast mode, what better way to energize our tired bones than to have an actual Mexican honest-to-goodness feast (these goodies are straight from Baja Fresh, all this Bloggiesta talk has made me hungry).

Cheese quesadilla with guacamole and dressing - my daughter and I shared this delectable treat.

Husband's Steak Burrito. Moliere has made him hungry. And the thought that his wife is about to bloggiesta upon reaching home. Hehe. :P

Let’s enjoy the feast everyone! Good luck to all!
